Subject: Comment on File Number 4-637

November 26, 2012

Dear members of the Securities and Exchange Commission:

I am writing to urge the SEC to issue a rule requiring publicly traded corporations to publicly disclose all their political spending.

Both shareholders and the public must be fully informed as to how much the corporation spends on politics and which candidates are being promoted or attacked. Disclosures should be posted promptly on the SEC's web site.

Thank you for considering my comment.

Our just completed election cycle is a gross indictment of what our American democratic republic has become...a well heeled, special interest, innuendo driven, lying media blast, fueled by anonymous money !

How can we tolerate this shameless action ? How did we get to this disgusting place ? Where is our honor, our hope, our goodness ?

I am appalled that our Supreme Court has thrown us into the Lion's Den. Now we must pursue all legal and community action to force our government agencies, state and federal, to apply their legal clout to demand full and immediate disclosure. Yes, they have the right to spend their money but they do not have the right to conduct their self-serving interests in secret in the back rooms of America . We were founded on justice and justice demands the light of truth and open discussion.

Sincerely,Geraldine Murphy Bracken
