Dear Commission,
Anonymous massive donations to candidates and on behalf of statewide propositions poison the fairness of the political process by concealing the source of advocacy. From the early days of the Republic, citizens with political and social views publicized them on soapboxes and in broadsheets and newspapers; in most cases they did so in person or with signatures designating attribution. America's fundamental political process is now being subverted in this age of unmatched corporate power and unparalleled personal wealth.
SEC: Exercise your regulatory authority to require public disclosure of corporate political contributions.
Sincerely,
E. Steve Lichtenberg, MD
