I am retired corporate manager,that has a portfolio of numerous stocks.The manipulation of stocks by large hedge funds ie Dendreon DNDN reulted in a huge loss in my portfolio.The SEC did not satisfactorily conduct an investigation that caused the stock to fall from $20 to $7 in a time frame of less than 1 hour.All stop sales were exercised on the way down.The stock opened the next day at the $20 level.The manipulation of short sale strategies on naked stocks by a few large institutions created this dilema.Can a small investor stand a chance when we have no safeguards in place by the SEC
