Short selling should be banned......
Short selling involves speculating on a stocks movement and it has nothing to do with "Investing". Over the past few years the markets have become more volitile and more speculative. The manic price swings in stocks are at an incredible high. The market should be used for generating wealth through investment, whereas now a days it seems its a vehicle for traders and speculators. If folks want to speculate on stocks they should do it through options, which by the way, should be the only way someone should be able to get short a stock.
The stock market went from a safe place to put your money to a dangerous place to put your money. Shorting has nothing to do with investing and the two should be seperated.
