Computer trading and naked shorting have nothing to do with
the fundamentals of a company. The internet is a way to reach a mass of investors interested in a certain company.
Some short-sellers do not play by the rules. A small group of short traders will stop at nothing to annihilate the companies they sell short. Their tactics can include: blackmail, smear campaigns, fraud, harassment and rumor-mongering. From my view, the attempted killing of the Small American Company is handled in this manner.
One Favorite Tactic:
Find a small company with a small float and flood the
internet with messages.
