Please consider the full study as origianally intended by the conference bill passed. I feel this is a real opportunity to evaluate the value of the suitability vs. fiduciary standards and how each is regulated right now. Undoubtedly changes should be made but we should value and retain that which is good and not simply throw the baby out with the bathwater. Extreme changes will also result in immediate loss of service for many clients while advisors reorient or license. That could be minimized with a reasonable transition period after thoughtful consideration for what the final standards should be.
