I am a middle class worker trying to put together a nest egg to supplement my retirement along with my 401k. My employer among many other employers no longer offer a pension plan, I have been investing my own money along with contributing to my 401K in the stock market. It is important that we have an even playing field for everyone involved in the market, which is why we need to have the Uptick rule re-established in its original form. In my view it is the only way to establish stability in the markets instead of the greedy few that benefit from this endless short-selling.
