I like the idea of being an informed consumer and investor. It has bothered me for years that I can't look at my financial statement and see a line item of how much I am paying in fees. The banking industry shares this information on consumer loans. Before one signs on the dotted line they know what they are paying in fees, points, interest etc. as it is spelled out for them. It only makes sense that the investing industry can do the same and not hide their expenses as percentages or in places where no one thinks to look. Accountability is a good thing.
