Dear Sirs and Madames,
I would like to see IEX established as a public exchange because I think I will have access to a better fair and willing pool of partners with which to trade securities. I believe that High Frequency Trading is stripping the current exchanges of legitimacy, it is becoming nothing more than a race, a test of speed. I think currently some participants have unfair speed advantages. I am not a professional trader but I spend a lot of time looking at market patterns and to me liquidity appears and disappears too erratically. I think it is time to level the field and offer interested investors the choice to route their orders to this exchange as they currently can with many others.
