Approve IEXs application to become an Exchange with a protected quotation
As an interested consumer, I would like to see the SEC even the playing field by broadening the markets and protecting long term investors over short term professional intermediaries.
Approving IEXs application to become an Exchange with a protected quotation, is an additional option we will have, and the freedom to consider on it's own merits.
By utilizing the IEX router to eliminate the possibility of having our orders impacted by certain types of speed-enabled trading strategies (aka latency arbitrage), we are given an honest chance to consider and make realtime investments.
