Since the individuals who highlighted the existence of "HFT latency arbitrage" decided to get involved to provide a more level playing field, it behoves the Commission to approve their application as an Exchange (IEX). The Commission also needs to invest and research the speed of todays transactions and update the rules and regulations in an effort to stabilize a volatile market place.
