I would like to express my strong support for the approval of IEX as an exchange. I believe it is of paramount importance that competition is encouraged and increased among financial exchanges in order to best protect investor interests. IEX has the potential to offer a significantly differentiated value proposition for non-automated or high frequency traders/investors.
I don't understand why the SEC allows the current exchanges to provide the HFT crowd data feeds that allow them to see orders faster and execute trades jumping in front of retail investors.
I hope you will do the right thing and approve IEX application to becoming an Exchange.
