I am in favor of IEX becoming an exchange. I am tired of my orders being sold to the highest bidder or my orders getting picked off by someone who has preferential treatment because they have the money to buy co location services from the exchanges. Its time for there to be another option that levels the field of all investors in the market place. IEX is trying to offer that option so please approve IEX exchange and see how the market reacts once investors have a choice to route orders to a place that does not sell out to HFT firms. I find it very discouraging that the HFT firms have such an impact in influencing the policy that the SEC sets. Please if you are not going to change the fact that HFT is an influence to the SEC then give investors a chance and approve IEX as an exchange.
