(b) On December 12, 2016, Peter M. Wilver, a named executive officer of Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. (the “Company”), notified the Company of his decision to retire effective March 31, 2017. Mr. Wilver became an executive officer of the Company in 2003 and is its Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer.
