                 TEREX TO PRESENT AT CREDIT SUISSE FIRST BOSTON
                    LEVERAGED FINANCE INDUSTRIALS CONFERENCE

     WESTPORT, CT, February 28, 2005 - TEREX Corporation (NYSE: TEX) today
announced that it will participate in the Credit Suisse First Boston Leveraged
Finance Industrials Conference at the CSFB Conference Center at Eleven Madison
Avenue in New York, New York on Tuesday, March 1, 2005. The meeting will include
a presentation by Ronald DeFeo, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer and Tom
Gelston, Director Investor Relations.
