Item 8.01.   Other Events.
On June 4, 2007, Advanta Corp. (the “Company”) welcomed stockholders, directors and employees to its 2007 Annual Meeting of Stockholders. At the meeting, stockholders elected two incumbent directors: Dennis Alter and Dana Becker Dunn. The stockholders approved the Advanta Corp. Office of the Chairman Cash Bonus Plan which is designed to provide performance-based cash bonuses to members of the Office of the Chairman. The current members of the Office of the Chairman are Dennis Alter, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chief Executive Officer, and William A. Rosoff, President and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors. In addition, the stockholders ratified the appointment of KPMG LLP as the Company’s independent registered public accounting firm for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2007.
