Item 8.01. Other Events.

On August 16, 2010, the Board of Directors of RadioShack Corporation (the “Company”) approved an increase in the Company’s share repurchase authorization from $290 million to $500 million, and directed that a significant portion of the repurchase program commence as soon as practicable. A copy of the press release announcing the increase is attached as Exhibit 99.1.
