Income Taxes	INCOME TAXES Fiscal 2018 and 2017 year-to-date tax benefit included $6 and $12 of discrete tax benefits, respectively. The fiscal 2018 year-to-date discrete tax benefit was driven primarily by a reduction to the long-term tax liability related to uncertain tax positions due to the lapse of the statute of limitations, offset by the excess tax expense as a result of the adoption of ASU 2016-09. The fiscal 2017 year-to-date discrete tax benefit was driven primarily due to the pension settlement charge and certain deferred tax items.
