On August 27, 2008, StockerYale, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that its cash takeover bid for Virtek Vision International Inc. expired at 11:59 p.m. (Toronto time) on August 25, 2008. A copy of the press release issued by the Company concerning the foregoing is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
