First Citizens Banc Corp Announces New Stock Repurchase Plan
Sandusky, Ohio, December 20, 2006 — First Citizens Banc Corp (the Company), announced the implementation of a new stock repurchase program. Under the program, the Company is authorized to buy up to 273,500 shares or approximately 5.0% of the total common shares currently outstanding. As of September 30, 2006, the Company had 5,471,300 common shares outstanding. The Company expects that repurchases under the plan will be made from time to time in the open market, based on stock availability, price and the Company’s financial performance. It is anticipated that the repurchases will be made during the next twelve months, although no assurance can be given as to when they will be made or to the total number of shares that will be repurchased.
David A. Voight, President, and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, stated, “We believe that the plan to repurchase our shares represents a sound capital management strategy which will benefit the Company and our stockholders.”
