Item 2.02 Results of Operations and Financial Condition

First Citizens Banc Corp announced today that its final results for the year 2010 were a loss of $1,268,000 or $.16 per share. It had previously estimated that it would lose $.12 per share for the year. The additional loss is attributable to a change in the accounting treatment of a write-down of a local investment security secured by real estate. Decreases in real estate values and challenged performance of the housing entity precipitated the write-down. Using accounting treatment specific to certain investment securities, initially the adjustment was treated as a reduction in equity capital. Clarification of the accounting treatment required moving the adjustment treatment from a balance sheet adjustment to an income statement adjustment.
