DESCRIPTION OF BUSINESS	DESCRIPTION OF BUSINESSThe L. S. Starrett Company (the “Company”) is incorporated in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and is in the business of manufacturing industrial, professional and consumer measuring and cutting tools and related products. The Company’s manufacturing operations are primarily in North America, Brazil, and China. The largest consumer of these products is the metalworking industry, but others include automotive, aviation, marine, semiconductor production and inspection, farm, DIY enthusiasts, and tradesmen such as builders, carpenters, plumbers and electricians.
