On July 27, 2011, Washington Federal, Inc., a Washington corporation (the “Company”) filed a Current Report on Form 8-K (the “Original Report”) to report under Item 5.02 that Liane Pelletier had been elected to the Board of Directors of the Company. The Original Report is hereby amended to provide the information set forth herein, which was not determined or available at the time of the Original Report.

As previously reported, Liane Pelletier was elected to the Board of Directors of the Company on July 27, 2011. Ms. Pelletier has been appointed to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors of the Company, effective October 24, 2011.
