Ciena Corporation (the “Company”) is making this filing solely to replace the notice of internet availability of proxy materials (the “Notice”) the Company filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”) on February 16, 2023 (the “Original Filing Date”) with respect to the Company’s 2023 Annual Meeting of Stockholders (the “Annual Meeting”). Due to a clerical error, an incorrect version of the Notice was inadvertently initially filed with the SEC.
