ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE	ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE As of October 31, 2012, no single customer accounted for greater than 10% of net accounts receivable. As of July 31, 2013, two customers accounted for greater than 10% of net accounts receivable, and in the aggregate accounted for 29.6% of net accounts receivable. Allowance for doubtful accounts was $1.5 million and $2.0 million as of October 31, 2012 and July 31, 2013, respectively. Ciena has not historically experienced a significant amount of bad debt expense.

The entire disclosure for claims held for amounts due a entity, excluding financing receivables. Examples include, but are not limited to, trade accounts receivables, notes receivables, loans receivables. Includes disclosure for allowance for credit losses.
