Item 8.01 Other Events.
 
Advanced Encoding Solutions, LLC, a subsidiary of Acacia Research Corporation, has entered into a settlement agreement with Broadcom Corporation. This agreement resolves the parties’ dispute that was pending in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
