Callon Petroleum Company Receives $44.7 Million Reimbursement
From The Minerals Management Service

Natchez, MS (January 26, 2010)--Callon Petroleum Company (NYSE: CPE) today announced it has received $44.7 million from the U.S. Department of the Interior’s Minerals Management Service (MMS) to reimburse the company for the overpayment of royalties at its Medusa Field in the Deepwater Region of the Gulf of Mexico.

Callon Petroleum Company is engaged in the acquisition, development, exploration and operation of oil and gas properties in Louisiana, Texas and the offshore waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
