In December of 2015, the Company acquired $1.5 million in goodwill and $2.4 million in other intangible assets in connection with the purchase of Klein. See note 4 to our consolidated financial statements. The remaining $2.5 million of goodwill is allocated to Seamap.

On January 31, 2016 the Company completed the annual review of goodwill and other intangible assets. Based on a review of qualitative factors, the Company recorded an impairment of the goodwill associated with its Seamap reporting unit in the amount of $3.0 million. Also at January 31, 2016, the Company recorded impairment of approximately $600,000 related to certain identifiable intangible assets related to its leasing reporting unit.

Amortizable intangible assets are amortized over their estimated useful lives of three to 15 years using the straight-line method (for customer relationships, the straight-line method is not materially different from other methods that estimate run off of the underlying customer base). Aggregate amortization expense was $369,000 and $413,000 for the three months ended October 31, 2016 and 2015, respectively, and $1.1 million and $1.3 million for the nine months ended October 31, 2016 and 2015, respectively. As of October 31, 2016, future estimated amortization expense related to amortizable intangible assets was estimated to be:
