Recent Accounting Pronouncements
RECENT ACCOUNTING PRONOUNCMENTS
On July 9, 2015, the Financial Accounting Standards Board ("FASB") made a final decision to delay the effective date of ASU No. 2014-09, "Revenue from Contracts with Customers," from annual periods beginning after December 15, 2016 to annual periods beginning after December 15, 2017. ASU No. 2014-09 clarifies the principles for recognizing revenue and develops a common revenue standard for U.S. GAAP and IFRS. The Company is in the process of evaluating whether this standard would have a material impact on the Company's financial position, results of operations or cash flows.
In April 2015, FASB issued ASU No. 2015-03 "Interest-Imputation of Interest," which is intended to simplify the presentation of debt issuance costs. The amendments require that debt issuance costs related to a recognized debt liability be presented in the balance sheet as a direct deduction from the carrying amount of that debt liability, consistent with debt discounts. The amendments resulting from ASU No. 2015-03 are effective for public business entities for fiscal years, and for interim periods within those fiscal years, beginning after December 15, 2015 with early adoption permitted for financial statements that have not previously been issued. The implementation of this standard is not expected to have a material impact on the Company's financial position, results of operations or cash flows.
In February 2015, FASB issued ASU No. 2015-02 "Consolidation," which modifies the evaluation of whether limited partnerships and similar legal entities are variable interest entities ("VIEs") or voting interest entities, eliminates the presumption that a general partner should consolidate a limited partnership, affects the consolidation analysis of reporting entities that are involved with VIEs, particularly those that have fee arrangements and related party relationships and provides a scope exception from consolidation guidance for reporting entities with interests in legal entities that are required to comply with or operate in accordance with requirements that are similar to those in Rule 2a-7 of the Investment Company Act of 1940 for registered money market funds. The amendments resulting from ASU No. 2015-02 are effective for public business entities for fiscal years, and for interim periods within those fiscal years, beginning after December 15, 2015 with early adoption permitted. The implementation of this standard is not expected to have a material impact on the Company's financial position, results of operations or cash flows.
