Item 7.01

Regulation FD Disclosure

The Greenbrier Companies, Inc. (“Greenbrier”) previously announced that it had experienced unofficial labor disruptions at the Romanian manufacturing operations of its subsidiary Greenbrier-Astra Rail, B.V. Following negotiations with the local union, a new labor agreement was reached on May 16, 2019 and the “wildcat strike” ended. Substantially all of the approximately 1,200 workers affected returned to work after an absence of less than one week. Greenbrier currently estimates that the potential impact on financial results or ongoing operations will not be material.

The information under this Item 7.01 shall not be deemed “filed” for the purposes of Section 18 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended (the “Exchange Act”), or otherwise subject to the liabilities of that section. Such information shall not be incorporated by reference into any registration statement or other document filed under the Securities Act or the Exchange Act, except as expressly set forth by specific reference in such a filing.
