SEGMENT INFORMATION

The Company's reportable segments are strategic businesses that offer products and services to different segments of the healthcare industry, and are the basis on which management regularly evaluates the Company. These segments are managed separately based on the unique product and service offerings required by the markets they serve. The Companyevaluates the operating performance of its segments based mainly on net sales and income from operations. Corporate Shared Services allocates a portion of its costs and interest expense to the operating segments. The allocation of shared operating costs is generally proportionate to the revenues of each operating segment. Interest expense is allocated based on an internal carrying value of historical capital used to acquire or develop the operating segments' operations.
