ITG RELEASES MARCH 2006 U.S. TRADING STATISTICS

 

 

NEW YORK, NY, April 10, 2006 – Investment Technology Group, Inc. (NYSE: ITG), a leading provider of technology-based trading services and transaction research, today announced that March U.S. trading volume was 3.1 billion shares and average daily volume (ADV) was 133 million shares. This compares to 2.5 billion shares and ADV of 131 million shares in February 2006 and 2.3 billion shares and ADV of 106 million shares in March 2005.

 

There were 23 trading days in March 2006, compared to 19 trading days in February 2006 and 22 trading days in March 2005.

 

Monthly volume statistics reflect commission-generating U.S. volume. These statistics are preliminary and may be revised in subsequent updates and public filings. Volume statistics are posted on ITG’s website, www.itg.com, and are available via a downloadable spreadsheet file.
