CKE RESTAURANTS, INC. ANNOUNCES THIRD QUARTER CASH DIVIDEND OF $0.04 PER SHARE OF COMMON STOCK
     CARPINTERIA, Calif. – October 5, 2005 – CKE Restaurants, Inc. (NYSE: CKR) announced that on October 4, 2005, its Board of Directors declared a third quarter dividend of $0.04 per share of common stock to be paid on November 28, 2005 to its stockholders of record at the close of business on November 7, 2005. The Company had 59,531,941 shares of common stock issued and outstanding as of September 9, 2005.
     As of the second fiscal quarter ended August 15, 2005, CKE Restaurants, Inc., through its subsidiaries, had a total of 3,165 franchised or company-owned restaurants in 43 states and in 12 countries, including 1,020 Carl’s Jr.® restaurants, 2,029 Hardee’s® restaurants and 100 La Salsa Fresh Mexican Grill® restaurants.
