Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

     Effective September 9, 2010, Scott Mercer and Bill Zeitler were appointed to the QLogic Corporation Board of Directors. The election of Messrs. Mercer and Zeitler was reported under Item 5.02 of the Company’s Current Report on Form 8-K filed with the Commission on September 14, 2010. The Company is filing this Form 8-K/A to report that on November 4, 2010 the Company’s Board of Directors appointed Mr. Mercer to serve on the Audit Committee and Mr. Zeitler to serve on the Compensation Committee, with each appointment effective November 5, 2010.
