Effective as of February 28, 2007, E. James Macias left Calpine Corporation (the “Company”) as part of the Company’s staff reduction efforts initiated in 2006. Mr. Macias most recently served as the Company’s Senior Vice President, Contracts & Leases and was identified as one of the Company’s named executive officers in the Company’s Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2005. Upon his departure, Mr. Macias was paid all earned but unpaid wages and accrued vacation.
