Item 8.01	OTHER EVENTS

On May 8, 2007, Stillwater National Bank and Trust Company, the principal banking subsidiary of Southwest Bancorp, Inc., received the proceeds from the sale of 1,500,000 shares of common stock of a public corporation’s securities which had been included in available for sale securities. This transaction was in response to an unsolicited offer to purchase such shares received in late April 2007. Stillwater National obtained these shares in connection with the restructuring of problem credits in October 2005. The sale of these shares resulted in the realization of a pre-tax gain of approximately $1.92 million that will be recorded in the second quarter of 2007. Stillwater National continues to hold 868,000 shares of the corporation's common stock.
