On September 22, 2006, Merrill Merchants Bancshares, Inc. issued a press release announcing a cash dividend of $.18 per share on the common stock payable October 31, 2006 to shareholders of record on October 13, 2006. The press release announcing the cash dividend is attached as Exhibit 99.1.
