Costco Wholesale Corporation (also referred to as the “Company,” “we,” or “our”) is filing this Amendment No. 1 (the “Amendment No. 1”) to our Form 10-Q for the quarter ended November 24, 2013, originally filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on December 20, 2013 (the "Original Filing"), for the sole purpose of correcting typographical errors in the versions of the certifications filed as Exhibit 31.1 and Exhibit 32.1 to the Original Filing. The correct versions of these certifications are filed as Exhibits 31.1 and 32.1 to this Amendment No. 1.  No other information included in the Form 10-Q has been modified or updated in any way. This Amendment No.1 continues to speak as of the original filing date of the Form 10-Q, does not reflect any events that may have occurred subsequent to the original filing date, and does not modify or update any related disclosures made in the Form 10-Q.
