Item 8.01.     Other Events.

On December 1, 2009, Dyax Corp. issued a press release announcing that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted approval for KALBITOR^® (ecallantide) for the treatment of acute attacks of hereditary angioedema (HAE) in patients 16 years of age and older.  A copy of the press release is included as Exhibit 99.1 hereto.
