     On January 31, 2007, Human Genome Sciences, Inc. (the “Company”) designated Timothy C. Barabe, the Company’s Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, as the Company’s principal accounting officer. Alan V. Esenstad, who previously served as the principal accounting officer, will continue to serve as the Company’s Controller.
