Inventories consisted of the following (in thousands):

As of March 31, 2016 and December 31, 2015, finished goods inventory included $6.8 million and $5.3 million, respectively, associated with products shipped to customers and deferred labor costs for arrangements where revenue recognition had not yet commenced.
