Inventories consisted of the following at March 31, 2013 and December 31, 2012 (in thousands):

At March 31, 2013 and December 31, 2012, finished goods inventory included $5.4 million and $3.7 million, respectively, associated with products shipped to customers and deferred labor costs for arrangements where revenue recognition had not yet commenced.
