Item 5.02.     Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On September 6, 2007, Frank J. Coll, the Senior Vice President, Operations of AmSurg Corp. (the “Company”), resigned as an officer and employee of the Company to pursue other business interests. Billie A. Payne will serve as the interim Senior Vice President of Operations for the Company. Ms. Payne joined the Company in 1996 and has been a Vice President of Operations since 1998.
