3. Dispositions

The Company initiated the dispositions of certain of its centersprimarily due to management's assessment of the limited growth opportunities at these centers and as a result of certain market driven strategies. Results of operations of the centers discontinued for the years ended December 31, 2012, 2011 and 2010, are as follows (in thousands):
