Jarden Announces Common Stock Offering

Rye, N.Y. – April 21, 2009 – Jarden Corporation (NYSE: JAH) announced today that the Company has agreed to sell 12 million shares of common stock in a registered public offering underwritten by Barclays Capital. The offering increases fully diluted shares outstanding by approximately 16%.

The Company intends to use the proceeds from the sale for general corporate purposes, including the reduction of outstanding debt.
