Item 5.02 — Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

 

On March 24, 2021, Weihao Xu, Chief Financial Officer of CASI Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (the “Company”), informed the Company of his intent to resign from his position in the near future to pursue a new opportunity. Mr. Xu’s expected resignation is not the result of any disagreement regarding the Company’s financial reporting or accounting policies, procedures, estimates or judgments. The Company thanks Mr. Xu for his service and wishes him well. Larry Zhang, the Company’s President and former Principal Financial Officer, is expected to assume Mr. Xu’s responsibilities upon his departure.
