ITEM 7.01 – REGULATION FD DISCLOSURE

On January 30, 2008, Arkansas Best Corporation issued a press release announcing that ABF Freight System, Inc., the largest subsidiary of Arkansas Best Corporation, has reached a tentative collective bargaining agreement with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters for a new five-year labor agreement. This new agreement, which is subject to ratification, will replace the existing agreement that expires on March 31, 2008.
