Recently Adopted Accounting Pronouncements

In February 2016, the accounting guidance related to leases was issued that require an entity to recognize leased assets and the rights and obligations created by those leased assets on the balance sheet and to disclose key information about the entity’s leasing arrangements. This guidance became effective for the Company on January 1, 2019. The adoption of this guidance had a material impact on the Company’s Consolidated Balance Sheets and related disclosures, resulting from the recognition of significant right of use assets and related liabilities, primarily related to its operating lease arrangements for space in hospitals and certain other facilities for its business and medical offices.
