Potential Acquisition of Interest in “Olivenine,” an Entertainment Company

KT is considering acquisition of a 19.12% share in Olivenine, a leading television show production company in Korea, in order to ensure procurement of attractive contents for its new growth businesses such as WiBro and IP-TV. Details of the proposed transaction are as follows:

 

  1. Expected number of shares to be acquired: 8,500,000 newly issued shares

 

  2. Expected acquisition price: Won 2,400 per share

 

  3. Total expected acquisition amount: Won 20.4 billion

 

  * The above transaction may change subject to the resolution of KT’s board of directors or approval process of the Korea Fair Trade Commission.
