     On November 28, 2007, Allan W. Fulkerson advised HCC Insurance Holdings, Inc. (the “Company”) that, with the Company’s adoption of a retirement age policy for Directors, he does not intend to stand for re-election to the Company’s Board of Directors beyond the Company’s 2009 Annual Meeting of Shareholders.
